Runway announced the launch of its video generation model API. The API is designed to help developers and companies integrate Runway's generative AI models into third-party platforms, applications, and services.
Currently, Runway's API supports only one model: Gen-3 Alpha Turbo, a faster but less powerful version of Runway's flagship model, Gen-3 Alpha . The API offers two packages: Build and Enterprise . The Build plan is mainly for individuals and small teams, while the Enterprise plan is for large companies and enterprise users. Pricing is based on a point system, with each point costing 1 cent, and it takes 5 points to generate one second of video. This means that the cost of generating one second of video is about 5 cents .
Runway has some special requirements for API usage. Any interface using the Runway API must display the " Powered by Runway " logo in a prominent position and link to the Runway official website. This requirement is to make users clear about the source of the technology they are using, while also ensuring Runway's brand exposure.
