Runway published an article introducing their thoughts on new ways to interact with AI-generated media. Runway believes that a new interface should be created for generative media , going beyond the current reliance on text prompts.
Runway said that AI is not just a tool, but a new creative medium , so a new way of interaction needs to be developed. They introduced three interface prototypes for the future generative media world, showing the broad possibilities and challenges in this field.
They came up with some radical new design principles: whimsy, discovery, control, and feedback.

- Feedback: The creative process should be a dynamic dialogue . Through real-time feedback, users can quickly iterate their ideas and correct generated content, thereby continuously expanding the possibilities of creation.
Runway is exploring how to design tools that are both intuitive and powerful, catering to novices and experts alike. These tools aim to augment rather than replace human creativity , and raise profound questions about how AI and humans will collaborate in the future of the creative process.
